OSHA 10-Hour General Industry

Yes. After completing the General Industry 10-Hour Outreach Program, you will delivered an OSHA card, also known as the DOL card. The OSHA cards are mailed to the provided address of trainees after two weeks.  

No. The certificate of completion along with the OSHA DOL card does not have an expiration date. However, you may be asked by your state or employer to renew this training within 3-4 years. 

This course is created around federal OSHA regulation and should be valid in most states. However, some states operate under OSHA-approved State Plans, which may have additional or more stringent requirements for workplace safety beyond the federal OSHA regulations. These states enforce their own rules while adhering to OSHA’s minimum standards, meaning the OSHA 10 certification remains valid but may need to be supplemented with state-specific training. Some of these states with approved State Plans include:

California (Cal/OSHA)
New York
Nevada
Washington
Oregon
Minnesota

Upon completion of your course, you will receive your official OSHA Card from US Department of Labor, which includes the information listed below:

OSHA categorizes General Industry as all occupations other than construction, maritime, agriculture and minning. There are separate OSHA training and safety standards for industries that come under this category. 

The OSHA outreach training program involves the Occupational Health and Safety Authority and various third-party trainers. Here, OSHA authorizes these trainers to provide safety educations to workers from different industries. These courses are desgined around the regulations set by the Federal OSHA. Trainees who successfully complete this training get an official OSHA DOL card.
